Torrent Pharmaceuticals, the Indian pharma major headquartered in Ahmedabad on Wednesday announced its consolidated financial results for the third quarter that ended 31st December 2022, the pharmaceutical company registered a 18 per cent rise in its consolidated revenues year on year. The company's revenue for the third quarter stood at Rs 2,491 crores against Rs 2,108 crores in the same quarter last year.

The company recorded a net profit of Rs 283 crores in quarter three of the financial year 2023(Q3FY23) against Rs 249 crores recorded in the corresponding quarter in the previous year, a 14 per cent jump year on year.

The pharma major's EBITDA surged by 35 per cent year on year to be recorded at Rs 724 crores for the December quarter against Rs 538 crores in the same quarter last year.

The company's R&D spend for the quarter came at Rs 123 crore which remains unchanged compared with the spend in the same quarter last year.

Torrent's India revenues came at Rs 1,259 crores growing by 17 per cent YoY the company said this included revenue from the integration of Curatio Healthcare as well. While the company's sales from Brazil, Germany, and the US amounted to Rs 248 crores, Rs 241 crores and Rs 291 crores respectively.
