The entire country is being battered by a catastrophic second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic. Amidst this, it’s the COVID-infected patients that need to be prioritized but with the healthcare system being overburdened with lakhs of cases each day, healthcare professionals are simply unable to provide several of them with the required assistance. Against this backdrop, Superpro.ai, a Bengaluru-based automated video workflows platform, has launched the ‘Doctor Overseas’ initiative, a tele-support helpline from doctors across the globe to provide free video consultation for COVID-19 patients.
Led by Arihant Kochhar, a software engineer working with Microsoft and supported completely by Superpro.ai, Doctors Overseas allows COVID-19 patients and their families to choose from several highly qualified and experienced doctors listed on the page to book a consultation. Once they click the ‘Book a Call’ button, they will be presented with the calendar of the chosen doctor from where patients can pick a slot that works for them.
Furthermore, patients or their families can even add their queries as a part of the message while booking the appointment. Post this, both the doctor and the user receive email and WhatsApp notifications with the date, time, and a link to join the call that will take place on the Superpro platform itself. The link will work on all major devices and browsers.
Speaking on the new initiative, Gaurav Tripathi, Co-Founder and CEO of Superpro.ai said, “India is no doubt going through one of the most trying times in history, and resources, especially in the form of much-needed guidance for COVID-stricken families, has become scarce. To ensure that patients and their families receive sufficient assistance from doctors, Superpro.ai has launched the Doctor Overseas initiative. Doctors Overseas, designed to offer crucial medical advice to COVID patients and their families, has a specially curated list of expert doctors from around the world to offer tele support free of cost through Superpro’s platform. We are proud to launch this initiative along with Arihant Kochhar and hope that the country recovers from the crisis soon.”
