HealthCare Global Enterprise (HCG), the speciality cancer care chain has reported a net profit of Rs 6 crore in the quarter June of FY23 which was led by greater occupancy with healthy average revenues per operating bed (ARPOB).

HCG recorded a loss of Rs 9.6 crore in the corresponding period of previous year. Revenues were up by 26 per cent year-on-year (YoY) to Rs 408 crore in the first quarter, compared with profit earned in the same quarter last year which stood at Rs 323 crore.

EBITDA margins grew by 41 per cent YoY to Rs 72.2 crore. The EBITDA margins saw an improvement of 180 basis points YoY to 17.7 per cent. Overall ARPOB rose by 5.9 per cent YoY to Rs. 38,454 in Q1FY23.

Oncology segment contributed 84 per cent of revenue and grew by 34 per cent YoY to Rs 343 crore.

"We are currently working on digital transformation, cost optimization and efficiency enhancement, growth of medical value travel, and inorganic acquisitions. We are confident of maintaining our growth momentum going forward," said Raj Gore, CEO of HCG.
