According to sources, India has supplied COVID vaccine doses to Myanmar, Nepal, Bangladesh and Iran.
Myanmar, Nepal and Bangladesh each received 10 lakh doses of Covishield, while Iran received three lakh doses of Covaxin, according to reports. Previously, on 20th September, the Government of India stated its intention to resume exports of vaccinations against the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) beginning in October.
Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya announced the decision, saying that India will recommence the export of COVID-19 vaccines under its 'Vaccine Maitri' initiative to meet the country's commitment to COVAX.
