Akums Drugs and Pharmaceuticals, a contract manufacturing pharmaceutical company in India, has entered into a joint venture with Microcore Research, which is the only manufacturer of Natural Eggshell Membrane (NESM) that has innovative and Granted Patent Technology with unique mechanism that does not employs any chemicals and solvent for the purification of the natural eggshell membrane product ranges, the company said in a statement on Monday.

With this tie-up, Akums will now leverage NESM and develop dietary supplements for maintaining healthy joint and connective tissues, the statement read.

Natural Eggshell Membrane is a novel dietary supplement that contains naturally occurring glycosaminoglycans and proteins essential for maintaining healthy joint and connective tissues.
